Suitable for use with or without vent dampers the S8610U provides the ignition sequence, flame monitoring and 100 percent safety shutoff for intermittent pilot central furnaces and heating appliances. Improved Performance

• The S8610U has been enhanced resulting in improved performance in challenging applications and installations. The flame voltage auto-adjusts during operation ensuring maximum sensitivity during light-off and when flame strength is low while reducing sensitivity during normal operation. The result maximizes the opportunity to keep the appliance running during light-off and reducing the potential for flame rod contaminant attraction during normal operation.
• Spark voltage and spark duty cycle have both been modified to ensure a faster and more consistent light-off. The spark voltage stays constant even if the input voltage varies allowing for a more consistent light-off. Spark duty cycle has increased to 90% allowing for a faster light-off while still allowing adequate time to sense and prove flame.

Simplified Troubleshooting

• A single LED is utilized to display the device status, error codes and flame strength. Error and status codes are clearly displayed on the product label for easy identification. Technicians now have the ability to receive flame current readout with a standard micro-ammeter through contact holes provided on the board. All of these improvements allow technicians to more quickly diagnose problems, take corrective action and get on to their next job.
